Aangan Resort Mandawa
Aangan stands tall in the heart of Shekhawati. A region once known as India’s Open-Air Art Gallery. Mandawa comes alive when the soft sunlit frescoed walls of old merchant havelis. Where people greet you with warm smiles, tractors hum through narrow lanes, that feel like the soundtrack of village life.
Our 13,500 sq. m property absorbs that spirit and brings it to you. Open courtyards, calm colours, and quiet corners which echo the charm of the 18th-century trade era when Mandawa was a stopover for merchants travelling the Silk Route. The luxury here is simple, grounded, deeply comforting and tied to the rich trader past.
Let the stillness settle in. Let Mandawa’s charm take over.

Move about the town on carts pulled by the mighty camels with snacks in your hands, wind in your hair and smiles in your hearts.
Kathputli – The Puppet Show
A magnificent art that dates back to 500 BCE. The culture evolved through the nomadic communities to keep the stories and experiences of their ancestors alive.
Today this artform has graciously absorbed the modern stories. At Aangan, you get to peak into the ancient times and reminisce the newer stories all in one place, through the dance of the wooden dolls.
The best part, you get to take them home after the show! The funds collected through sales of puppets go to thepuppetry communities of the region.
Bhopa’s Reverent Call
“Bhopa” or the priest-singer serves as a link between deities and the people. The tradition originated in Marwar and lives on in the traditions of the local
communities.
Here, in the courtyard of Aangan Resort, you get the opportunity to lose yourself in the soulful voice of the Bhopa, as they narrate the stories of their deities and request protection for their lands
